Is it just me, or are the "Messages" rotor and message previews in the messages list in Mail on iOS 18 seriously broken? I recently came from iOS 17 on my main device and, although I have mixed but largely positive feelings about the new BSI changes, my time spent dealing with Mail has been considerably dampened by my constantly having to open messages in threads where neither AI summaries nor message previews are working consistently, or, arguably worse, where I can't use the "Messages" rotor option to move quickly through a thread of messages until I flick manually past the first one and the banner saying that all the other messages are new except for the first.
Do any of you relate to either of these? After time spent in hospital with iOS 17 and nothing but my iPhone with BSI, I couldn't be more annoyed and disappointed by this productivity killer. I hate to be "old man yells at cloud", but dang, why can't Apple just leave well enough alone? It's hard enough to steal the courage to do the upgrade, so it's very annoying to find that after all the effort of getting things set up, it doesn't deliver.
