Hello Eric, It doesn't bother me that neither of my Canon scanners work directly with FineReader since I'm used to using VueScan which produces really good images. It's just that a lot of people don't want to be bothered using two apps to do the job. VueScan opens FineReader automatically once the scanning is done, so for me it's straightforward.
