Hi,
Just to follow up, I know there are a lot of new or prospective Mac users on these lists. O'Reilly publishes, for example, David
Pogue's Missing Manual series, so a title like "Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual, Snow Leopard Edition" that
normally sells for $30 in a print copy is available in three DRM-free formats (PDF, ePub, and Mobi) for $9.99 There's also
Pogue's regular "Mac OS X Snow Leopard, the Missing Manual" (for non-switchers who want a good general text).
Programmers will want to look over their higher level programming books (Java, Perl, Python, CSS, desighning iPhone apps, etc.)
Check out their other publishers, too, such as No Starch Press ("My New Mac, Snow Leopard Edition", "My New
iPad", "My New iPhone", also in three DRM-free formats), and the Take Control series. Note that not all eBooks
are available in all formats and that Microsoft Press titles are not included.
Cherers,
Esther

Hi All,
Today only (May 21, 2010), you can buy any of the DRM-free eBooks at oreilly.com for
$9.99 with the coupon code "FAVFA" (without the quotation marks) on check out.
URL of the store:
http://oreilly.com/store/index.html
These are DRM-free, and only the MicroSoft Press titles are not included. Many
of these are eBook bundles, so you will be able to read the ePub versions in
iBooks (when it arrives), and the read the PDF versions at your desktop.
Cheers,
Esther
