Hi,

Well, VMWare Fusion 3.1 which I just noticed today allows you to assign USB 
devices.

"USB EasyConnect: Easily assign USB devices to virtual machine or Mac when 
connected to the computer."

I'm hoping that is actually what I think it is. I have no idea how it works, 
though, but probably self-explanatory.
