Hello,

Generally speaking, a totally blind person can modify the hardware memory
but, in my opinion, it is not something I would recommend doing without
sighted assistance, at least the first time.  If no sighted assistance is
available, then I would take it to a professional.  

I say this because the risk of damaging such a high cost machine is too
great.  That is to say, if you were referring to a $200 secondary netbook,
it might be worth the risk.
