I can see why AT&T is doing this, though I hope it doesn't screw people over. Their system is overloaded. They don't want people hogging the network so that others are dragged down. I have seen examples of this. I am going to get an IPhone because we can use the reduced plan. We couldn't afford a plan before that was $30 each monthly for both my husband and I. My husband hasn't used anywhere near the limit for even the $15 plan. If you have an At&T account you can go online and check your data usage. I can see why people who are not customers would be afraid of giving it a go. the main thing that eats up the data useage is downloading apps with the phone, and the way around that is to download them onto the computer and then synch your phone.
