Hi Sandy,

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Mac. I'm Allison, I'm sure you will find
this list useful and informative. I have received lots of assistance from this
list, and I learn something new everyday. I was a Windows user for years and
just switched to Mac in April. I listened to several podcasts from:
http://www.blindcooltech.com
by a gentleman named Mike Arrigo. He did a lot of casts on the Mac, VoiceOver
and the way it works. I think those podcasts helped me tremendously in
understanding the basics of VoiceOver even before I touched my Mac. I have an
Iphone 3GS I just purchased it less than two weeks ago. There are some really
cool apps for the Iphone. I have one called Digit-Eyes which is a paid app. It
scans bar codes and labels from boxes and reads them aloud. There is also a
labeling system so you can a fix an audio label to the product. There was a
discussion on this list a few weeks ago about Digit-Eyes. It should work even
better with the two cameras on the Iphone 4. There is also a TV guide app I
like very much, and a first aid app as well. I'd be happy to help you with
getting used to the Mac either onlist or off. My e-mail address is:
[email protected] I hope you are having a great day.

Allison
