Firefox is not accessible at this time. I believe there is someone working on this, but for now it is Safari pretty much. I believe there are other browsers such as Opera, but I am not sure how well that works and others can comment. Preview is your only option for PDFs at this time. Adobe has decided the Mac platform does not have a sufficient number of users to invest time in making their products accessible. Well ok, that is what I gather from things I have read, but again, others may have more information that is not available to me.
