Probably, a friend of mine has his iphone set up as his windows 7 media
center remote. And seemingly there is an application that will let you use
your iphone as a remote for a Samsung lcd / led tv as well.

Can't one, in Theory, use the iPhone as a remote for it though? There is a
remote app for the iPhone.
