Hi Scott and all,

I play guitar, banjo, mandolin, dulcimer and uke. I say all of this because as 
you might have guessed I have calluses on my left hand and can read just fine. 
My left hand is now more sensitive than my right. I like the idea of the oil on 
your hands. SOmeone said it  was an old fiddler's trick. I  never thought of 
that. But fear not, as long as you keep up your braille reading skills  you 
should be just fine. Happy playing! I tried to play fiddle only once, and it 
wasn't pretty smile.
