try this for future refferance
when in a call
press command plus the number 2
this will also togle the dialpad
this should bring up a box to input numbers
in order to get the tones to sound when you press the corasponding numbers 
press VO right arrow until you land on one of the actual number buttons
now you can press the number row and here the tones while in a call and they 
will get transmitted
when you done press command W to close the window
