Hi Chad,

Would you be able to outline the exact steps you perform? To ensure the file 
has been attached, check through your e-mails to confirm that the file has been 
selected. An image with the file name will  be placed wherever your cursor is 
at the time of the attachment, representing the file.

Also, ensure that the "Send Windows-friendly attachments" checkbox is checked. 
Normally, it is checked by default, but you may have unchecked it accidentally. 
Of course, that checkbox is only important  if your friend is running Windows.
