Hi Ray,

You don't really have to make the playlist, I just usually do that so that it 
is easier to remake the CD later and then it is better organized for me.  With 
respect to clutter, you could simply make a folder within iTunes and drop all 
your burn playlists into it thus your Sources List is not cluttered at all.
