The control with the Keynote remote app used with VoiceOver is
limited, and I don't think this has changed much since the app was
last updated in March 2009. This is actually mentioned if you read
down the thread using Control+n starting at the link to the Mail
Archive post I gave:

http://www.mail-archive.com/macvisionaries%40googlegroups.com/msg15816.html

Giving the archive link along with a brief explanation of what was
being discussed, and instructions on how to read down the thread lets
me provide answers without having to retype the entire past discussion
and explanations. In this case, reading down the thread of linked
posts provides more information both about how Skim works, and what
additional features it adds over Preview, and also a later discussion
of the status of the Keynote Remote app. This also means that people
who are not interested in these details don't have to read about them
when they read the answer to the direct questions being answered,
while those who are interested in the extra material can read down the
thread for the extended discussion before posing a new question that
might be covered in the earlier discussion.

I used to provide shorter answers and just give the links, but then I
discovered there are some people who never read links in answers, so I
usually include enough to give a basic answer even when there is
better and more extensive information in the linked, archived post.
Let me just say that the Mail Archive pages are straight text, and
very easy to read and navigate with the access key sequences.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
