Ok Mike,

I just went to
http://www.vegancoach.com/how-to-cook-a-turnip.html
and tried to follow your instructions. Each line is showing up as its own
item, so when I interact with it, I still only get a line at a time. Also, I
could not move by character, only by word.

I did find that by turning on the reader and selecting to email the page, then
navigating to the text of the email, I could move freely and copy whatever I
wanted. but, that's a pain to have to do all the time. So, am I doing
something wrong here?

The answer to bot of these is to interact with the item. You can then read it
word by word, or character by character. To select text, interact with the
item, then press control option enter at the beginning of what you want to
copy. Now move to the end of the text to copy and press control option enter
again, then press command c to copy the text.
