I always enjoy the discovery of things like these--like pieces to an
ever-expanding puzzle. However, there is also a less technically intensive and
likewise completely accessible method of pulling YouTube videos. Although I
have only used this a few times, I believe it to be completely free and in
order. If you go to
http://www.keepvid.com, you will find that you can enter the URL of the YouTube
video in the edit box and press the download button. A page will then appear
that includes the name of the video and various formats in which to download
it. MP4 is among the formats available. These videos can be successfully tagged
and imported into iTunes (or vice versa). This bypasses the potentially arduous
process of obtaining the video and then converting it. As far as I can
remember, very little fiddling is required, if any. I hope this provides
additional options for the download of YouTube videos.
Sincerely,
Robert Hooper
