Hi,

I think your mistaken about Simply beeping to tell you when to turn seems 
generally
not user friendly all the way around.  If your sighted , what more would you 
need?  You can read street signs so you wouldn't need street names spoken.  You 
would just want some indication of when to turn.  Driving is a bit different 
because your moving at a greater rate of speed so it is more likely to miss 
hard to see signs, and you just can't always glance down at the screen so voice 
guidance is more useful here then in pedestrian mode.  So in short, having this 
feature in pedestrian mode, would be something that would really only benefit 
the blind and visually impaired.
