Yes,  I had noticed about two weeks ago, that it appeared all I needed to do 
was hit enter.  Now I can't get  that repeatable.  So either:

1. The item had been queued for download anyway but not actually started.
b) THe recent upgrades to MacOS / iTunes changed something. (I can test 
onanother machine here)
c) The podcast I  was looking at is acting weird in that the unloaded podcast 
also states that the check box is unchecked, even when I click on the checkbox.
