I was thinking about that as well actually. The only way I can see it working is if your fumb is at the bottom of the screen and your other 4 fingers are at the top. Even then, it doesn't sound overly smooth.
I do like the idea of controling multitasking using jestures though; I always thought that the app switcher could have been a bit better ad that it could load a bit faster come to think of it.
