Hi!

Yes Audio Hijack Pro will record from Skype as you know but there is not a way
as far as I can tell to trigger Audio Hijack Pro - as you can with Total
Recorder - to start recording from another location, for example with Total
Recorder you ca use a global hotkey to trigger recording, stop and so on but
with Audio Hijack Pro you have to have the application in focus before issuing
a command so perhaps the way round this is to leave Audio Hijack Pro recording
all the time, the software won't record anything unless there's something to be
recorded so you won't be left with a whole heap of silent passages in your
recording.

I do a fiar bit of recording from Skyp with Audio Hijack Pro and I prefer to
stop the recorder so I can catalogue what's been recorded in a similar way to
what you've just described and then start the recorder then, it just sits idle
waiting for the next call or whatever. To start recording in Audio Hijack Pro,
select "Skype" from the components and sessions list and then type command-r.

Hope this helps.
