Hmm,

I doubt that.

It happened on my mac mini, then I bought a new Macbook pro in November and the 
problem followed me to the new machine.  BTW, I didn't use a time machine 
backup to transfer my files and settings from the Mac mini to the MBP.  I want 
to say this problem started around last summer.  or late spring, Maybe around 
the release of OSX 10.64.  I heard some people with older hardware from lets 
say early 2008 and before are not having this problem.  Go figure.
