Hi Denise,

Remember that you actually have to import any music you want to play into your 
iTunes library.  So just moving onto your computer or your phone isn't 
sufficient.  Personally, I think it's easier to just re-rip the CDs, but that 
is a matter of personal preference.

As for your folders, if you want the songs in each to be grouped together, then 
creating a playlist for each folder is probably your best bet.  If all you want 
is for that music to be in your library, then you can just import it and not 
worry about creating a playlist.
