There are about 30 applications and utilities that come standard with the
Operating System. The best thing to do is go to the Apple Store or Apple.com
and look up product information for Snow Leopard. It will give you the list of
applications that are bundled with the Operating System. Let me just mention
a few: Mail, Safari (the web Browser), Text Edit (word processing) ITunes
Address Book (a data base program). It does not come with a spreadsheet
program. May I suggest that if there is something you would like to be able to
do on the Mac other than what I have listed here or something that you do not
see at Apple .com, just tell us what it is and one of us should have an answer.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely Yours,
Robert Nelson
