Hi, Speaking from experience, iChat is accessible, but Adium is preferable. I have multiple accounts which iChat doesn't support. You can configure iChat to speak in a similar manner to Adium, but overall for better functionality the latter wins hands down. That being said, I know some people will probably like iChat for its video conferencing and voice chat abilities, which as far as I'm aware Adium hasn't quite caught up to yet.
