Hi Ray:
I stopped using threaded view for those reasons.  It seems to work better on 
the iPhone, where you get the thread, and a number, and then when you click on 
that thread it expands and gives you the windows.  Perhaps the Applemail does 
this and I just haven't figured it out yet.  But, try playing with interact and 
expand commands and we might find the answer.
