Hi Matt,

Yes it is totally possible to do what you're asking.  As mentioned below, you 
would be creating a new MailBox instead of a folder but, essentially, they are 
the same thing.

1.  Stop Interacting With anything you may be Interacting With in the Mail 
window.
2.  Navigate right until VO reads "New Mailbox Menu".
3.  Activate that item with VO-space and choose New Mailbox.
4.  Give your Mailbox a name.
5.  Press cmd-comma to bring up your Preferences window.
6.  Navigate to the Toolbar and Interact With it.
7.  Select the Rules tab.

You can now add rules to do exactly what you're asking.  For example, if you 
wanted all messages on the MacVisionaries list to end up in a specific Mailbox, 
you would add a rule that says for all messages that contain "MavVisionaries" 
in the "To" field to automatically be moved to the New Mailbox you created.
