Hello, Christine and all,

The pdf files that are the most accessible are designed using accessibility 
standards. There are some pdf files that are simply images, and aren't read by 
screen readers. I always indicate to people when they scan something and send a 
pdf of it to me that they use the OCR setting if it's a business scanner. This 
might be one reason you aren't able to read the files.
