Hello people. When i try to scan a document to ocr text using vuescan, the application unexpectedly crashes and the settings for mediatype, scanning and printing size etc goes back to what they used to be, so instead of text, i scan to a jpeg file. Here are the exact steps i follow when this happens: I put a document in my Canon Lide 90 scanner and launch Vuescan. Now, after having set the correct import and export settings i press ctrl+n and the scanner goes to work. As soon as the scanner has stopped and the dialog where vuescan asks to replace the existing file with the new one pops up and i have answered yes to that, there's a delay of a couple seconds and then i hear "Finder" and then "Problem reporter". This happens every time with v9.x 64 bit version. What could cause this to happen? Oh i just got a stupid idea, or maybe not so stupid, the previous version of the Vuescan app might have been a 32-bit version and this one is a 64-bit version. Now i don't want to get rid of the 64-bit version if at all possible, so if i uninstall that version and install, what should one try to remove so that things don't go wrong?
