I wonder if you would be just as successful in avoiding heat build-up by using a portable lap desk. Having a fan that draws off the battery of your machine will shorten the amount of time you will be productive with the machine. Of course if you have an AC outlet around it would not be a big deal. I've always wondered why these companies just don't build-in a battery. I bet they could get significant runtimes from batteries now. Just some thoughts. Of course my comments are not to recommend nor criticize products, methods, etc.
