WHen you turn your Mac on, is the startup sound coming on? If you
have tried turning the volume up and still nothing, I wonder if
like DOug suggested VoiceOver somehow is muted. The only way I
know if fixing that is to create another account. THis happened
to me shortly after I had my Mac. THe only way to fix it was to
have my Mom who is sighted help me create another account. I have
a post by Rose on how to do this without sighted assistance. I
can look it up and send it to you if you wish. I hope your Mac
problem is resolved. Have a great day.
