Hi Ray, I think one potential cause is rapid key presses. I've found that if I type quickly and do a lot of things in a short time, VO is more likely to crash. It isn't a surefire cause, but it does seem to contribute to the problem. Also, I discovered that even when VO appeared to crash in one case, the Braille display I have still kept working. Perhaps it's only the speech subsystem which kicks the bucket? In any case, my crashes aren't frequent enough to be truly annoying, and nine times out of ten they're easily resolved by a quick application of cmd-f5 a couple times. Best, Zack.
