Hello folks, Actually, I have figured out the reason why VO randomly stops talking when you're navigating and doing other important things. It has to do with Audio Hijack. Let me preface this by saying that I have just updated to 10.6.8. I bought my new Macbook Pro at the end of March 2011. Until two days ago, it, unlike my old Macbook, did not ever experience a VO crash unrelated to some safari website thing. I recently installed the latest update to Audio Hijack, and more importantly, I believe, the System Sound Plugin and update. I began having VO crashes just like my old Macbook almost immediately. Now, I have to figure out if I can stop it by using App Zapper to completely eradicate the latest Audio Hijack from my system. When I first installed Audio Hijack on this system, I had version 2.9.11 with no updates to its plugins. Perhaps someone else might see what they encounter.
