I think it all boils down to three so to speak accessible applications on an order from pro to less
1- pro tools 2-garage band 3-amadeus All of them have benefits and lacks which others don't, but if you have a rig for controlling transport, mix and others via midi, you're better off and freer to produce what you really wish to.
