Hi, It is common for me not to hear a click for each key press in a password field. I don't even listen to the clicks anymore. I just assume it went through and most of the time it does. The faster you type, the more likely you are to see this behavior. It's not specific to any program either.
As for syrinx, you can continue to use the old version, the only thing that will not work is your ability to receive direct messages. You need to authorize the new version for that to work. I'm not sure how to unlock twitter, other than to write to them and ask to have it reset. I don't know for certain which email address to use, but maybe try [email protected]. Hope this was at least a little helpful. Justin On Jul 1, 2011, at 8:39 AM, Mark BurningHawk Baxter wrote: Hi folks. Is anyone having issues with Syrinx 2.4.3, the just-released update, in which the password won't go into the field correctly, causing Twitter to issue a CAPTCHA challenge? When I upgraded, it signed onto the web to authorize the new version. When I tried to type my password in the field, the number of key clicks was wrong, as if some keystrokes weren't recognized. Then, after so many attempts, Twitter.com locked me out and issued a CAPTCHA. It had an audio component, but my hearing loss made it impossible for me to get the right words in the box. So I dug the old copy of Syrinx outta the trash and swapped it, and now I'm signed in again, though how long that'll last... Has anyone else encountered a password box in which some keystrokes weren't recognized or didn't produce the click of the secure text input? Should I assume that, even if I don't hear a click, the character is there? how can I get Twitter to unlock me? :) First day of the month, and I have so many questions already. • Mark BurningHawk Baxter • AIM, Skype and Twitter: BurningHawk1969 • MSN: [email protected] • My home page: • http://MarkBurningHawk.net/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
