OK, I've been having this issue from the day I got my MacBook, but I'll
admit I really haven't botherred myself too much with it. Now that I'm
using my mac a lot more, however, it does pose a bit of a concern. So,
here's the deal. When I hit vo+D, to go to my dock, let's say I go over to
where it says documents. Now, here's the thing, I don't care, if it's an
entire volume, a symbolic alias, or, just a folder. The point is, it's
something that would open up a finder window. I can't get into it! If I
hit vo+space, no good, command+down arrow, nothing, command+O, nada,
return/enter, nothing at all. Space bar, nothing. The only way I see is to
either route my mouse with command+Vo+F5, then click with vo+shift+space, Or
hit vo+shift+M to go to my context menu, then vo+space on open. I figure if
files open, and apps open, then what's the deal! What won't it do the same
with things that open finder windows. Yeah, I know I could put them on my
side bar, but honestly I really don't prefer the side bar. Call me weird,
but it's just never really appealed to me. If anything I find it a bit
sloppy. OK, it was a cool idea/concept, but... meh? I dono. I just don't
care for it. I just figure there's gotta be a trick to this.
Anyway, thanks for any help. BTW, I prefer column view in my finder, if
that helps.
Chris.
