Hello,

I think you will encounter problems attempting to install Vista; what problems? 
 I cannot say but Windows 7 is the Windows OS of choice.

If your finances will not allow you to purchase Windows 7, Microsoft does offer 
some discount programs for which you may qualify.

If you truly wish to install Vista instead of Windows 7, you will be virtually 
on your own as no one will bother troubleshooting Vista.

Just my opinion, of course.
