Hi Johnny Angel, The mac can create images from a scanner and from its internal camera. I suppose you could attach an external camera as well. But if you want OCR, then the quickest way I have found so far, is to use fine reader express. It is in the mac app store and it costs 80 euros, I think some 95 or 100 dollars. Its interface is easy to use, and for a single page or for a few pages, I have found it to be a good solution. I haven't tried scanning entire books with it yet.
