Hi Marc Workman,
To begin, I have no solution, unfortunately. However, I have, or rather had,
exactly the same issues you described. Sluggishness in the message content
table, mail reading message numbers inside a conversation rather than the
sender, and mail kept saying mail busy busy busy busy. After some time though,
this vanished. In the mean time, I went over all my command comma mail
preferences and I changed only a few. I also went over all options in all menus
to find the cause of the problem, but I didn't find it. After a day, things
fell back to normal. I thought that it had to do with me, restoring my mail
database after a clean Lion system install, but apparently, you experienced the
same thing, and after installing the security update. I have that installed as
well, because after reinstalling Lion from a bootable usb stick, thanks a lot,
Ricardo, what I did was run software update till it had no more updates for my
system. So in short, have the same issue, have no solution, don't know its
cause either but I can confirm it.
Paul.
