I've tried the Money Reader with euros, pounds and US dollars and it works fine 
for all of them. The only thing it didn't recognise was a Scottish pound note. 
1 pound notes are not generally available, so this is no surprise. Also, it 
works whether VoiceOver is turned on or off. It uses a different voice, 
however, with VO off.

I'm using an iPhone 4.
