Hi,
When you hear that funny sound try finding out what is playing by checking your 
screen of the iPhone or iPod. Might give you a better idea what is happening. 
Also try seeing if you turn shuffle off if you have the same problem. Also make 
sure that if you have shake to shuffle on that it does not skip because you are 
moving your phone when walking for example.
