I don'tknow if you work with windows/mac but, I think that you can use the 
open-in function of the iwork-programs. If you have a document as 
mail-attatchment , you can use it with the iwork-programs. Otherwise, you can 
put multiple documents in your i-device with the filer program or a equivalent 
tool. There you can use a wifi connection to transfer 1 file (ore more files 
compressed in a zip). With mobileme you could use idisk but I see no way to do 
this with icloud.
