Hi Denise, You should be able to share documents through iTunes with your iPad as long as you are connected via the USB cable. Alternatively, using iCloud, it can be done wirelessly and somewhat automatically. This is supposed to be done through the iCloud web interface but being that iCloud is not extremely accessible, I've learned a round-about method of doing so. Be careful though as it is not a Apple suggested solution, and it takes you into locations that Apple doesn't normally expect you to go, and thus you could run into problems.
1. Go to the Finder. 2. Up to the Go menu. 3. Navigate down to the Library folder item. You must be holding down the VO keys for this item to show itself. 4. Open the Mobile Documents folder. 5. There are folders for Pages, Keynote and Numbers documents. 6. Within the com~apple~pages folder, there is a Documents folder. Paste the Word or Pages documents in there. These documents will be automatically uploaded to iCloud and thus accessible by your iPhone or iPad. The caveat though is that once you open your document with the mobile version of Pages, it is no longer accessible to the Mac version. You can work around this by eMailing the document back to yourself and then it will be automatically converted to a Mac usable form in the sharing process. You also may encounter some conversion issues if you use any fancy formatting that the mobile Pages app does not support. Hope this helps. Later...
