Ah! Thanks. So, the question now becomes how to create a new playlist. I will play around with it a bit closer to Christmas and see what I can figure out. In the mean time, I am copying music to an external drive as I buy it. I haven't done the time machine thing in ages; my external drive runs snow leopard now, and my macbook itself runs Lion. So, I don't know if time machine is possible in that situation. Thanks for your help, though. It is extremely appreciated. Missy
