if you want ot go eathernet based can u do so via usb or is it strictly
wifi?
also how well does it work on usb hubs, and how many usb ports does it have?

they provide software to use a system to share it's CD drive. it's a

the temptation to buy a macbook air is very strong indeed as a 2nd

go for it. you won't regret it.
as regards doing what you want to on it, of course you can. it has
USB built in so will support USB TV tuner cards (mac compatible),
you can use garageband, etc to record small projects with as both
the line in and USB interfaces are enough.
