Well let us make sure we have the same setup. 1. first of all are we both using Lion? 2. If we are press command 3 in the folder to put Finder into column view like mine. 3. If I navigate to a file by just using the cursor keys and press all together control option command and then spacebar thenVoiceover will say the name of the file and then say removed from selection. I press control option command an d spacebar all together again Voiceover again announces the name of the file and say added to selection 1 item selected. 4. If I move to another file by pressing cursor keys to to another file and press the same 4 keys together then Voiceover say then name of the file and then says added to selection 2 items selected. If I move to the next file I want to copy and do the same Voiceover will again announce the name of the file then added to selection, three items selected and so on.
I think this is about as clear as I can be . Hope that you get there.
