well,
in this case, I disagree. the tool is only useful if one can use it. Firefox is 
a fine browser (works well with ORCA in linux) but the folks at mozilla Inc. 
didn't want to support more than one version. I came up with a solution that 
involves having a few custom tags in the configure and compile scripts. all 
they would have to do is use a --include= argument to include the proper 
library files for core audio and accessible buttons/pane libs. this way, they 
can compile 3 versions (OS X, Linux and windows) and not have a completely 
separate compiler source tree. now, I am not a programmer, but I do have 
experience with troubleshooting program source errors (like missing libs, 
etc.).
