Hi, When the file browser opens, just press command shift A like when you want to go to the applications folder on your finder. Then arrow down or, press the first lett of the app you want to jump to it in the list.
BTW, when the file browser opens, it should already be in the app list. all you should have to do is press the down arrow to go through the apps on your machine.
