Hi Kim.
I saw you got an answer to your question, but I would like to add something. 
One of the frustrating things about the drag and drop feature is that the 
reason it doesn't work reliably is that things go off the screen and we don't 
know about it. I finally just started using the thing Ray told you to do. 

I don't remember if he told about the move command, which I find works better 
than the drag and drop. After you have done control c for copy, if you to move 
things like files instead of just copy them, you can press option, command, v 
for moving it. I have found that sometimes you have to interact with the 
browser or open a folder you want to move to. Therefore, I have started 
checking to make sure things got moved to where I thought they were supposed to 
go.
