I am thinking OO'Moby is better at these things than the Google product.
O'Moby has recently added barcode recognition and does an excelent job of
currency recognition. It is also very accurate on product recognition.

This is a very nice app, I have used it with food boxes and it works pretty
well, it may not tell you the exact brand, but it should be close. It's also
good for recognizing CDs, it does money identification and can also read
some text. The newest version has a nice feature where you don't have to
snap a picture, just point the phone at something and it will try to
recognize it.

Hi,
Does anyone know how well Google Goggles works for those of us (most of
the people on this list, I assume) who have a visual impairment?
I frequently run into situations when I don't have sighted assistance, and
it would be great to be able to have Google Goggles tell me what is in the
can or box of food I am considering opening?
Thus the following two questions:
1. Will Google Goggles identify food in cans or packages?
2. Is there a blind-friendly Google Goggles app for either the iPhone or
Mac?
Best regards and thanks,
Mike
