Hi! I had the same problem. It only happened, for me, with older messages in my inbox--say, messages more than a couple of weeks old. Luckily I still had the messages elsewhere so didn't lose the info. To solve this problem, go to User Preferences and the settings you want are on the final list of choices--I can't remember if it's "mailbox behaviours" or the next one over. You need to make sure that the "when mail is kept" is set to "immediately" and that any of the "when mail is deleted" buttons are set to "never". I hope that made sense--I should really switch my list subscription to my Mac--this is all from memory at the moment!

I am at my wit's end. I went into my inbox to read my latest messages, and each time I try to read the text of a message, I am getting "empty message scroll area." Sighted help indicates that indeed, the message contents is not displaying. However, on my iPhone, the messages are displaying fine. I've gone into the various menus, but cannot find anything wrong. I've tried restarting, logging off, then logging back in. No good. Help! Christine -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
